My Thoughts Today

While driving out today, I thought about my life and the essence thereof.

This led me to some humble moments of prayer and devotion to God.

I said words like —

I surrender my life to you, Jesus

I give you my heart

Take me, use me

Let me be useful for your kingdom

Let me be a tool for you

At some point, it felt like I was saying the prayer of salvation – but I wasn’t unsaved.

I had given my heart to Christ since 2005.

Then I realized those words are not for Sinners alone, but for all who will daily dedicate their minutes and moments unto God.

In fact, I sang the Hymn – Take My Life, and Let It Be

1 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.

This does not imply I have been taking back my life from Christ and giving it back continually; it’s just coming to a place of submission over and over again.

Paul says to offer ourselves unto God as a living sacrifice – if the sacrifice will be living, then it has to be a daily affair.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Activities

Today, I attended my daughter’s Alphabetizer Competition (Spelling Bee), and she came in first place in her class. I’m proud of her.

My Thoughts Today

The Mind is powerful that it stores mostly all the images that we see. Some of these images are not helpful; in fact, we like to unsee them, but that is not possible.

So to deal with this, we use the power of ‘Recall’.

We have the ability to recall images, thoughts, sounds, and any other thing that we need – we also have the ability not to recall, and that is when we assert control.

If we can’t control all that we say (mostly things seen by accident), we can control what we recall, and that is a way to shut some things down so they never affect us negatively.

I am already exercising this authority not to remember anything I don’t want to, or to bring to mind any image I do not like.

I believe God has given every Christian this authority, and we can all exercise it.

Activities

Today, I officially launched my diary website – flipmydiary.com – it had been being built on my PC with XAMPP localhost for some days, but I officially bought a domain from Spaceship today and launched the website. I also set up Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and OneSignal.

I watched some more documentaries about Puerto Rico, Nigeria, and some other countries. I have been watching more historical videos these days. There is a lot to learn that can be applied to today from the past.

My Thoughts Today

Still on my journey on learning to stay in control. God reminded me not to be anxious about an upcoming program I am to attend and I am not sure about how it will work out yet.

I am to stay in control at all time and never get overwhelmed by any situation. That is the life God has given to me.

God is always with me and He makes all things work together for me.

There is no place for worry, fear or anxiety no matter what the situation is.
